The thin line of crossing over to the other better side isn’t always visible. It might be about time for you to quit your current job. It might just be time for you to take a holiday. It might be the right time to start your business.
What we often fail to comprehend is that we always have a choice. If the first choice doesn’t work, you can make another, then make another, and keep making until you achieve whatever that is you always wanted to.
Some of the success stories that we don’t stop talking about would’ve not been a success if these individuals stopped trying;
Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, JK Rowling, Mark Zuckerberg.
For the sake of not being too philosophical.
Quitting a dead end; non-satisfying job is the best thing that can ever happen to you.
Is everyday a Monday morning for you?
We don’t like Mondays as it takes us back to the routine. Your entire week is right in front of your eyes & the element of surprise is lost. Nobody likes to do the same thing every day. Nobody likes to hear about a routine specially the way Monday spells it out.
If you feel like this every single day then it’s not worth the effort. If in the morning you don’t feel happy about going back to work, then don’t.
Is social media your only escape strategy?
We visit social media to pass some time or catch up with what our friends are up to. Spending a lot of time on social media during office hours is inappropriate unless you’re actually doing some work related to social media. If you find yourself doing this more than often & you’d rather finish watching your neighbour’s Snapstory than replying to that email from your co-worker, then you know this is not the place for you. The faster you run the sooner you’ll arrive.
Do you find it hard to come up with new ideas or deliver projects on time?
“Don’t let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do,” John R Wooden
The sooner you realize what you can’t do the faster you’ll start doing what you can. And not being able to do something is no way a flaw because no one is designed to be able to do everything.
Then why do we end up jobs which don’t satisfy us? We continue because of the fear of not finding another dream job, not being able to crack our own business idea, and so many reasons. But honestly, you will have to do this. You can’t focus on both.
Do you keep fighting with people around you?
If you’re not happy about your job at the moment then nothing around you will make you happy. You will get into unnecessary arguments with your co-workers & sometimes your seniors. You will make best friends with employees who feel exactly the way you do & you’ll find yourself bad mouthing the company all the time on your break.
Literally, all the time. Nobody benefits from this, but you should be concerned only about yourself.
It’s never too late to realize what you’re really meant to do & there is no age to fulfil a dream.
